Boron nitride is a crystal composed of nitrogen atoms and boron atoms. It has many crystal forms. The hexagonal crystal corresponding to graphite is the most stable and softest. This hexagonal boron nitride has many similarities in structure and properties with graphite, so it is also called “white graphite”.
