Boron Nitride Composite Ceramic BN-BO

 

Boron nitride material could be physically enhanced by adding some other ceramics, such as CaO (HBN), ZrO2(ZSBN) or AlN (AlN-BN), high purity boron nitride could withstand higher temperature in inert atmosphere than the composite/enhanced ceramics. However, the enhanced BN usually has better wear resistivity and better performance in air.

BN-BO uses B2O3 binder to increase the mechanical strength of hot pressed hBN. It has higher density without loss of ceramic powder. This makes it the best choice for high temperature insulators in the electronics industry.

Due to the hygroscopic adhesive system, BN-BO must be used to avoid exposure to moisture.
