The Boron Nitride Break Ring Edgetech provides is a high-performance component designed for horizontal continuous casting applications. Made from a composite material of boron nitride (BN) and zirconium oxide (ZrO2), it combines the best properties of hBN with the non-reactivity and strength of zirconium oxide, ensuring excellent reliability and service life. The brake ring plays a key role in maintaining a stable solidification front and achieving controlled pull-out of the strand. The size and shape of the break ring usually depend on the type of continuous casting equipment and the material being cast.

Packing
As a ceramic material, boron nitride is quite fragile in a lot of cases. Our Boron Nitride Break Ring is carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation. Suitable outer boxes and inner cushioning materials are used for BN products, vacuum packing is also engaged for some of the parts.
