Silicon Nitride Bearings, Si3N4 ceramic bearing

Ceramic bearings refer to bearings whose rolling elements are made of ceramics. They are usually used for precision angular contact ball bearings and precision cylindrical roller bearings. They have excellent high-speed and low-temperature rise characteristics and can achieve short-term oil-free operation. The service life and reliability of ceramic bearings with ceramic rolling elements are significantly improved. We can provide full ceramic and hybrid bearings made of Silicon Nitride, zircona, silicon carbide, etc.
There are also many options for the cage material of ceramic bearings, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), glass fiber reinforced nylon 66 (GRPA66-25), special engineering plastics (PEEK, PI), stainless steel (SUS316, SUS304) and brass (Cu).

Silicon nitride ceramic is an ideal material for bearing parts. Si3N4 bearings have already been applied in automobiles, rockets high-speed engines, equipment working in a corrosive environment, and some performance model cars. Compared with steel, high-performance ceramic balls have better mechanical properties under high temperatures and can survive most corrosive chemicals. As the price of ceramic materials decreased, it could have more applications.
