Pyrolytic Boron Nitride Conical Crucible

Pyrolytic Boron Nitride Conical crucible is made by the CVD process to form its solid body, and all the boron nitride crystals grow parallel to the surface of vapor deposition. Due to the nature of the CVD process, thick wall products (>3mm) are usually not available. For a PBN conical crucible, the typical thickness is 0.8~1.5mm.

PBN products are very pure because the CVD process does not require the addition of any sintering agent, and the purity of the gas material is easier to control. Typically, the total impurity content of PBN products is less than 100 ppm, which means the purity is not less than 99.99%. With such high purity, PBN products are ideal products for the semiconductor industry and vacuum systems.

PBN is becoming a widely used material in vacuum processes due to its high density and high purity. The CVD process gives this pyrolytic boron nitride an almost perfect layered structure, which leads to anisotropic thermal conductivity, making it an ideal material for making crucibles for crystal growth. Under high temperature and high vacuum conditions, PBN sheets can be prepared by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of ammonia and boron halides or directly prepared into final products such as crucibles and boats.

EDGETECH provides customized PBN crucibles, such as VGF / LEC / cone / MBE / OLED crucibles and PBN boats.

Packing

As a ceramic material, boron nitride is quite fragile in a lot of cases. The Pyrolytic Boron Nitride Conical Crucibles are usually held in plastic bags by vacuum, and protected with heavy foam.
